Character

It’s Either Growth or Decay

Everything is routine, just going through the motions, dealing with the same old issues.

A life in stagnation, feels a little hopeless.

But stagnation is an illusion, it doesn’t exist, because in reality, it’s only either growth or decay.

Forwards or backwards,

Living or dying,

If you’re not growing, you’re in decay, the beginning of the dying process.

If you don’t use it, you lose it.

If you’re not stimulating your intellect, it degenerates

If you’re not physically active, your body weakens

If you’re not cultivating your character, it easily gets corrupted.

And growth is the by-product of complexity.

Introducing complexity into your life, spurns growth.

Complex problems to be solved,

Physical challenges that need to be overcome,

Giving your attention to things that allow you to reach beyond what you believe yourself to be capable of.

There is no growth without an element of complexity and that also includes assuming some risk.

Growth doesn’t occur in a comfort zone –

Complexity doesn’t mean chaos – but rather sits right at the border of order and chaos

The zone of optimal development.

This is where the magic happens.
