Symphony of Sadness

There’s a great symphony in sadness

A million things conspiring beautifully together to set a sombre tone.

It’s a tragedy, no doubt.

Irrational at times, often transcending words or reason.

But incomprehensible in a way that makes it strikingly poetic.

Sadness is drama, a well of emotions, woven into a sense of emptiness and despair.

Yet it reminds you somehow, that you’re human and still alive

It reminds you that it’s OK to be sad sometimes- because sadness still beats indifference.

It means you long for something better

for connection

to be seen, to be heard and to be understood.

Science may indeed have the answers to some of life’s questions

But dare I say, life is also art.

So take your sadness, and let that symphony play

Let it play out of you, all the way out,

until one day, it finally sets you free.
