The Death of The Human Spirit

The greatest tragedy in life is the death of the human spirit.

That divine spark inside you that brings with it the fullness of everything life has to offer.

The thing that raises you up when you’re down

Strengthens you when you’re weak

Shines a light on your darkness

And keeps you connected and engaged in something beyond yourself.

So many of us put so much emphasis on staying alive, as if life is merely a material pursuit.

It’s the death of the spirit that we should be more concerned with

Because it’s the spirit that sustains Life, real Life.

A life that combines the material reality with the higher calling of the heart

The calling to reunite with those parts of yourself that you can’t see and touch.

Anything less is but a life half lived, if a life lived at all.

The physical death is but a single moment in time

But a spiritual one, you carry with you into eternity.
