Certainty is Not Given, it’s Claimed

Certainty is not given to you; it’s something you create.

It’s not about knowing something for certain, it’s about doing something with what you do know.

It’s about turning indecision into decision.

Making a choice.

Certainty is as much a state of mind, as it is a resolution.

It’s the sense you get when you know exactly what you’re dealing with.

When you’ve made a commitment to something.

A commitment to the kind of person you want to be.

A commitment to stay at your job or quit it.

A commitment to keep dealing with this person or cut them off.

A commitment to travel or stay put.

A commitment to set up a business or to wait.

To stay or to walk away.

Commitments are what ultimately help you create certainty and following through will help reinforce it.

Doubting is normal.

But letting those doubts linger to a point that drives you back into a state of hesitation and indecision will only breed more uncertainty.

Certainty is there for you to take, your job is to be decisive.

You can figure the rest out as it unfolds.

You can’t expect any more from yourself.

There is no reason to live in a constant state of uncertainty, because this remains within your grasp.
